AI & Machine Learning: The Impact on Prospect Research

Today we have access to more information and data than ever before. We have better resources, improved technology - including machine learning and Artificial Intelligence - and increased industry knowledge. With this emerging technology and data, we are found asking - what does it all mean for prospect research and identification?
 
We will review some of the new best practices based on this abundance of data. Those attending this session will discover how emerging technology - such as AI & Machine Learning - they are influencing the changes in prospect identification, new matching logic and the pros and cons of this new technology. We will discuss these new techniques and how you can apply them today.

Presenters:

Sarah TeDesco serves as the Executive Vice President at DonorSearch and helps direct operations, client success and marketing. For the past 13 years, Sarah has enjoyed working with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes while helping them achieve their fundraising success. Sarah truly enjoys working on strategic plans, product development ideas and collaborating with DonorSearch clients and partners. Speaking at conferences and engaging with others in the industry is something Sarah enjoys and does regularly. Prior to working at DonorSearch, Sarah worked as a prospect researcher for the Baltimore Community Foundation. She’s a graduate of University of Maryland with a BA in English and Psychology.

 

Cecelia Poplin is the Senior Director of Enterprise Sales at DonorSearch and has served nonprofits through the efficient use of data and technology for over 15 years. During her time in this industry, spanning Blackbaud, WealthEngine, and now DonorSearch, she has seen technology rapidly advance and accessibility of that tech spread to more organizations. From wealth screenings, prospect research and management, to analytics, AI, and CRMs, Cecelia has collaborated with nonprofits, higher education, and healthcare organizations to improve processes and achieve goals. Focusing on mid-to-large sized organizations, she has successfully helped nonprofits such as UC Davis, USF, and Inova Health, among others, surpass operational and revenue goals.
