2020 presented several unique challenges and the philanthropy trends reported in Giving USA highlighted some dramatic changes, especially regarding major gifts. In this presentation, we will discuss what we learned from 2020 as well as how the emerging technology, including AI, is most effective for analyzing this new data so that organizations are focused on the right donors. Attendees will walk away with new insights on philanthropy from 2020, an understanding of how AI works for prospect research strategies, and how to effectively implement it.

Sarah TeDesco serves as the Executive Vice President at DonorSearch and helps direct operations, client success, and marketing. For the past 14 years, Sarah has enjoyed working with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes while assisting them to achieve their fundraising success. Sarah truly enjoys working on strategic plans, product development ideas, and collaborating with DonorSearch clients and partners. In addition, speaking at conferences and engaging with others in the industry is something Sarah regularly does. Before working at DonorSearch, Sarah worked as a prospect researcher for the Baltimore Community Foundation in the Planned Gift Department. She’s a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in English and Psychology.
