Yes, You Are A Leader was born from the encouragement of Aisha Maddox, the President of APRA FL in 2025. Aisha saw in me, what we don’t often see in ourselves, that we ARE leaders. It just needs to be highlighted to spur us on to see that we lead in ways that go beyond titles. And open our eyes to that truth can set us on a path beyond what we can even imagine.

About the Speaker:
Theresa Clark spent 20+ years in Prospect Research and Management at Western Kentucky University and Florida State University. She retired in January 2026 from FSU as Assistant Director of Prospect Research after 7+ years with FSU University Advancement. A 1984 graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Technical Journalism, Theresa began her career with Saddle Horse Report - traveling the U.S. to cover horse shows before she met her husband, David in Nashville in 1985. They married in 1986 and raised two daughters, Laura and Andrea, before heeding the call of Florida temperatures and their love of the beach. Theresa’s love of the prospect development profession centers around her desire to tell the donor’s story. That’s what excites her about it even in retirement (though she will be concentrating on three precious grandkids more these days.)
