Leadership Annual Giving Panel

Kick off the Apra Carolinas Fall Virtual Conference with a bang! Join a panel of two annual giving professionals and two prospect development professionals for a conversation about leadership annual giving (LAG). We'll answer your burning questions about how prospect development works with LAG, how to balance major giving with a LAG program, and more!

We have better resources, improved technology - including machine learning and Artificial Intelligence - and increased industry knowledge. With this emerging technology and data, we are found asking - what does it all mean for prospect research and identification?

We will review some of the new best practices based on this abundance of data. Those attending this session will discover how emerging technology - such as AI & Machine Learning - they are influencing the changes in prospect identification, new matching logic and the pros and cons of this new technology. We will discuss these new techniques and how you can apply them today.

Fall Conference Session 3 - Oct. 21st, 1PM

The True Final Frontier: Corporate and Foundation Research and Relationship Management

Giving by foundations and corporations is on the rise; however, even in some advanced fundraising shops, prospect research and relationship management for institutional donors is uncharted territory. In this session, learn why your shop should be implementing research and portfolio management for institutional fundraisers and donors. The session will also discuss building relationships with institutional fundraisers and cover research techniques for assessing interest, inclination, and capacity for foundations and corporations.

What’s DEI Got To Do With It?

Amidst the tumult of 2020, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) has emerged as a trending topic and ubiquitous acronym, regardless of industry or sector. But what does DEI really mean and what are the urgent implications for prospect development and philanthropy writ large? Join APRA Advocacy Chair and DEI Committee member Chandra Montgomery for a timely conversation outlining the imperatives of embedding equity and inclusion principles throughout fundraising business practices. Attendees will gain knowledge and insight through an exploration of DEI definitions and practical applications – specifically, strategies and recommendations for management and leadership as well as breathing new life into pipelines and prospect pools. You won’t want to miss it!
